Men Who Try
If you follow me on Instagram you know that I always talk about how men give nothing all the time in the fashion department. But below are some of the few men that I think put in the time and energy to give us a crumb every so often. These are the men who don't show up to award shows in a black suit and bowtie 🙃
When you see the looks I presented here pause and ask yourself a few questions. 1. Am I a bigot? 2. Do I have style? 3. Do I want to go with what society deems as appropriate for a man? or do I want to see fashion as an art form and a way of self-expression? Ok, now you may proceed. I want men to see that they can TRY. They can express themselves through what they wear and it doesn't have to be just jeans and a t-shirt every day. Try to explore and branch out little by little.
(Disclaimer: Yes, I know these men have 30 people behind them who make their looks possible. People are constantly doting on their hair, makeup, skin, accessories, clothes, and everything else.)
Some honorable mentions are Kanye West and Harry Styles. While I do appreciate their styles I think that they are pretty much given in terms of style. They're known for their style and I wanted to focus on men who aren't really known for it. (Also, I'm sorry in advanced for how long this post is.)
Chris Pine
I know. This one shocked me too but he truly has proven himself worthy of this list. He's the best Chris in Hollywood and when he cried at the Oscars in 2015 because Common and John Legend were singing 'Glory' from Selma I knew he was alright. Invited to the cookout.

My favorite fashion thing is elevating a suit and this one is velvet and I love it

A fanny pack?? A monochrome track suit?? Are you kidding me?? Effortless 80s

Would wear this outfit everyday
Rami Malek
I like Rami Malek's style a lot because it's very eclectic. I think he does a good job of creating and building an outfit around one piece. That's the easiest way to start. Choose one piece from your wardrobe and work around it. Soon enough you'll be the most stylish man on the block. (sidenote: he always looks like he knows something about you)
Tyler The Creator
TTC always has a hat. And let me just say accessories are your best friend. Tyler has shown us that it's ok to accessorize when you're a man. That can help elevate your style and make it look effortless. Not to mention he has his own clothing company 'Golf Wang' so that tells you that the man knows a thing or two about fashion. I think we Tyler The Creator we definitely saw a style evolution. When he first came out it was very much skater boy, suburban kid with vans and skinny jeans. But now, personally I think he has a more polished style. Now he'll sport penny loafers, slacks, and a sensible sweater.
Timothee Chalamet
You already knew he was gonna be on this list. Shut up. So what if he looks like a Victorian-era child sometimes and he dresses like a local Chad. I love him.

He belted a suit. What more could we ask for??

LOVE this suit for the DUNE premier. So futuristic.

Once again, he wore sweats and converse to the Met Gala. He wins.
Adam Sandler
Ultimate athleisure. King of the pandemic. He was lightyears ahead of us in the fashion department in regards to that.

I admire him for wearing this on a late night talk show
Oscar Isaac
A great example of when something works, don't change it. This silver fox realized early on that the autumnal color pallet works for him so that's what he sticks with. And he often chooses to wear a skirt which I appreciate.
Lil Nas X
It was too hard to choose just a few images. He was one of the first men that I realized cared about how he looked. One thing about him, he will have patterns, prints, and the lot. The only reason I would ever praise a cowboy hat and boots. He is what America stands for.

I am proud to be an American because he's wearing this shirt
BamBam
If you knew BamBam in the context of KPOP you would see that his style is truly one of a kind. One thing about Bam is that it's gonna be over the top. The man will always be decked out in brands and in his case, it works. I have no problem saying he's the most stylish in GOT7 (his group, look them up). Not to mention everything on his body ties together. Whether it's the hair, makeup, anything. It looks good.

Showstopping, right?

I love everything about this suit. The bow. The pattern. The fit. The shoes.

Peep the heels, y'all.
Lakeith Stanfield
If I were to classify his style I would say "Motherland". A Hodge podge of black culture. He reminds me of everything I grew up around. I see the inspiration in his style from the Black Panthers in the 70s to the rap scene in the 90s. Black Culture at its finest is shone through the style of Lakeith.

Would also wear this everyday if I could
Daniel Kaluuya
A good coat can take you far. Clean and put together is how I would describe his style. I love the idea of elevating a suit and I think he does that very well. He's always showing us different colors, different cuts, and different patterns. Keep that in mind the next time you or someone you know needs a suit.

OMG This coat!!!!
Bretman Rock
Bretman Rock continually blurs the lines between genders with almost everything he wears. He can rock (no pun intended) a pair of jeans and gym shoes and a ballgown all in the same week. I think out of all the men he's the most diverse and daring.

10/10 would wear this
Adam Driver
Adam driver probably has the most accessible and widely known style on this list. You too can look like Kylo Ren! It's careless but put together. It's the blueprint for men's style. You start at Adam Driver and one day you will achieve Bretman Rock.
Jung Hoseok (J-Hope)
An amalgamation of awesomeness. J-hope's style is what I would like my style to look like. The entire wardrobe is statement pieces and he just wears them together all the time. It gives very much Main Character Energy. That's what I strive for everyday.

Jeff Goldblum
Dad of all Dads. Ultimate Dad. Cool Dad Mode. Probably the coolest man on the planet. He was cool in Jurassic Park. He's still cool now. I'll tell ya one thing the man is not afraid of a print or pattern, ok? And he's always twinning with his wife which is the sweetest thing ever. (Seriously, I think he's the greatest person on the planet.)
Who are some men that you have seen recently who have been stylish recently? Comment and let me know!
